Why did I decide to start a blog?
"No matter what anybody tells you, words and ideas can change the world”.

I decided to start a blog to have a written expression of my life. I’ve had a reputation for writing long Instagram captions and I cared about what I wrote rather than the picture that supported it. I have built this blog on the foundation of that habit of mine. I seek to write a lot about my journey in aviation and my passion for flying. However, this blog won’t be limited to just that. I shall write about my travel’s and certain topics that I feel strongly about. The genre is not fixed.
I identify myself through my passion, of flying airplanes and discovering what it has to teach. Most of my thoughts revolve around the science of flight and what it means to view the world from aloft. In addition to that I have an interest in writing poetry, creating short films, street photography and reading. There are certain books that I enjoy to reread. The Fountainhead being one of them. I like revisiting the conclusion of Walden by Henry David Thoreau. I enjoy reading books on flying and I am working on writing one myself. I enjoy documenting my life through recording videos. I’m not very consistent with writing poetry but I have indeed written a few since the last couple of years. I love reading poems by Walt Whitman and Robert Frost.
I was inspired to start writing after I read The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand. It was through her philosophy of objectivism, her narration of fiction, abstractions and splendid sense of imagery that had me realize the power of language and more importantly, that of self expression.
I feel that the written word can stay with a person if you intend it to. I’ve read many blogs that I keep revisiting since what the writer had to say did influence me in a way. I want to do the same. I want my work out there for people to read, build upon and stay in their memory.I believe it takes a lot of effort to articulate a feeling into words, to compose your thoughts and even more in precisely conveying what you originally wanted to, which is why I intend to write more often.
Happy reading!
